Today was a celebration day at Red Hat’s Pune Marigold office — courtesy, the Fedora 11 release. The event was totally informal where the developers and college students had a chance to interact with each other. Attendees asked questions and the answers came from actual contributors of distribution.
The party was planned systematically through a wiki page https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Release_Party_F11_Pune_India and the agenda was to introduce the audience to the various new features and enhancements in the latest version of Fedora.
To start with, Rahul Sundaram kicked off with his presentation on salient features of Fedora 11. He also introduced the audience to its spins and remixes. Various other developers from Red Hat such as Rakesh Pandit and Kushal Das talked about the different exciting projects they were contributing to. Last but not least, the party ended with cokes and pizzas.
The Fedora 11 DVDs were also available as a takeaway.
